I'm somewhat tech savvy, but these are some of my first ventures into terminal commands and this side of the computer. The other result, with the iso file I created from the Install macOS Catalina.app is just a straight black screen with no options for any commands in the VM Window. I've downloaded ISO files, created my own from the Install macOS Catalina.app.Įach time I get to the point of starting the VM, I setup everything according to what I've found online and I either have had it go to a UEFI Interactive Shell, and even when I add the AFPS Boot Image to the VM I'm still not able to enter the commands to move past that screen. I've been working on trying to create a MacOS Virtual Box VM for the past few days. Was anyone able to update to 10.15.2 or install a clean 10.15.2? Can someone confirm the problem? Going to EFI and searching for the boot.efi in the macos_updates folder does not help. Create an ISO from the 10.15.2 Installer Application and boot from DVD/ISO Imageįor the updates, after reboot and for the boot from ISO-disk, all activities on hard drive or DVD stop at the Apple Logo a second after boot.Download the 10.15.2 combo update and install that.Chose the update in System Preferences / Software Update.I'm running a virtual machine with MacOS 10.15.1 without any problems.įor me it is not possible to update the virtual machine to 10.15.2. I use VirtualBox 6.1, but had the same problems with 6.0.14. My idea was to investigate on the heating control, could it be faulty for my old HW and so not reacting in time? as like you before burning it did crash a few times without to me any reason and I could not see anything in the logs explaining except a panic but can't find the cause.I have a MacBook Air with MacOS Mojave 10.14.6. Not insisting for now as we have a heat wave passing just now and was 34C yesterday ( last time it was 36C here.) Monday 25C announced so I will try again.ĪS now Im using my wife's ( my ex-hospital usage laptop.) Macbook air which is now under Mojave and am surprised that it stays cool doing exactly the same thing and yes it does heat when I start heavy usage but never like the Macbook pro which can exceed 45 after only 15 minutes when I use it seriously. but into as I dont know anything about the inners of the Mac Pro and mac mini but if like the laptops I would not be surprised. ( because I burnt my motherboard (graphics.) beginning July ) or go berserk from time to time, I have just assembled a new one but this time a late 2011 motherboard after buying a 2012 for later usage, and again it reaches over 40 C after 15 minutes not doing anything special, the 2012 is already in mojave but so far not much time to play with as still sick and just finished a 3 weeks antibiotics treatment. I am trying to figure out what in high sierra can make my powerbook pro of 2011 over heat. I wonder if its not to do with some untested hardware issue since apple using intel processors seem to have changed regularly the inners, things less current when under powerPC ( I still have 2 of them.).
